A big thank you to everyone who nominated to participate in our Community Reference Group (CRG) for the Marulan Gas Fired Power Station.

We had a productive first meeting on Wednesday 25 June, with great conversations and a strong mix of local perspectives around the table.

A key focus of the session was revisiting what’s been heard from the community over the past 10 years and checking in on current interests, concerns, and priorities.

We appointed an independently chaired Community Reference Group (CRG) following an expression of interest period in May.

The CRG brings together residents, landowners, community organisations, and council representatives to help guide communication, share local knowledge, and ensure community views are considered as the proposed project progresses.

The group will meet regularly throughout the planning and environmental assessment process. Members also receive key project updates, raise local concerns, provide feedback, and help shape how information is shared with the broader community.

We thank all those who expressed interest in joining the CRG and look forward to working closely with the group and the wider community.

Energy Australia acknowledges that the site of the proposed Marulan Gas Fired Power Station project is on the traditional Country of the Gandangara People. We recognise their continued connection to land, waterways and community, and we pay our respects to Elders past and present.β€―
