We’ve reached an exciting milestone in the Marulan Gas Fired Power Station project—the release of the first visual renderings showing how the proposed facility could look in the local landscape.
What the images show:
Strategic Location - the proposed site is located near the Transgrid switchyard on Canyonleigh Road, in an are already home to existing and planned infrastructure like the Wattle Creek Solar Farm and Battery.
Minimal Visual Impact - most nearby properties will not have any direct view of the station.
A small number may see the tops of the gas turbine stacks (approx. 40m tall), which are no taller than the existing 40–50m transmission towers in the area.
Night-time lighting will be kept to a minimum for safety and aircraft visibility, with careful design to reduce glare for neighbours.

Respecting the local landscape
We understand that the wide-open views and uninterrupted horizons around Brayton and Marulan are deeply valued. That’s why we’re working to protect the visual character of the area through thoughtful design, natural screening, and transparent engagement.
Why this matters:
These renderings are more than just images—they’re part of our commitment to open dialogue with the Marulan community. They help reduce uncertainty and ensure everyone can clearly see how the project will integrate into its surroundings.
